HOLLISTER FINAL INTERN PROJECT

Senior Sendoff, Outerwear & Swim Summer 25

During my time as an apparel design intern at Abercrombie this past summer, I had the opportunity to work on the Hollister Men’s Outerwear, Swim, and Accesories Team. After working through styles for upcoming spring and summer seasons extensively with my team, I got to present my own mini collection for Summer 25’. This mini collection was supposed to be true to Hollister and build off of our creative team’s ideas for the actual Summer 25’ collection while bringing newness and excitement for the customer.

CORE IDEAS AND MUST HAVES:

1.  Bringing my own experiencesinto this collection was essential
-Telling a story that makes someone excited to shop Hollister and create an air of fun that Hollister wants to emphasize.
- Pictures of my friends and I scattered throughout showing us enjoying senior year and reinforcing this conenction to the customer.
-Growing up on the beach gave me backgroud to lean into surf culture I experinced first hand and bring some of this inovation into mass market.

2. Long weeked narrative reflective and  how  Hollister can be  a senior’s  go to  for  trend right shopping
-Each day shows our Hollister customer enjoying every part of his senior celebration weekend and how Hollister outfits him each step of the way.
-Weaving in a senior sendoff weekend I experienced helped me explain and justify my ideas/designs and how it would benefit the customer.

3. Staying true to the Hollister Customer
-Conencting to the customer through not only my experience but social media trends reflective of what the customer is actually, wearing, doing, etc.
-Creating garments that serve a functional purpose while remaining in style for the customer.
-Can accompany the customer from dusk to dawn, court to couch, pool to dinner party, and everything in between.

4. Bringing in Newness
-Making the Hollister logo relevant

by incorporating it in new ways. Creating irony and fun in the pieces and showing logo recognition not as something to hide from, but to build on.
-Playing with textures throughout and encouraging customers to come into store and experience these garments first hand.

-Bringing innovation from the surfing world to the Hollister customer to deliver next level comfort for a demographic that shops viewing it as a necessity.
