Mentor Project II, Spring 2025
“Fall, Winter ‘26, Above Synthesized Veils”
For the second project in my apparel design mentorship, I chose to pivot from the sportswear focus in project one to something completelty new.
Project two was based on the first collection for my own label, and served as a metaphorical procession towards embracing the good, bad, and ugly of real life. Unlike the fictional characters mentioned that have chosen to go against their present realities and drown themselves in illusory excess, the collection sought to bridge the gap between their dreamy but fabricated world into one that gave our consumer the confidence to live out their wildest dreams in the real world.
While this is much easier said then done, the emphais of F/W ‘26 was to help our customer propel themselves out of the dullness that may come with shorter winter nights, and towards a confident way of dressing that bridges the gap between their veiled dreams and reality.
